A ban and some question--  a topic regarding recent ban on the Maggi, an international brand,

FSSAI- Food safety and standards authority of India-found snack Maggi is hazardous and dangerous for the Human and especially children, for consumption.
-Sample tested in various states come up with measures of safety...
-2700 samples had been tested in India and abroad during the last few months..came up with result that lead level is far below danger mark and company maintained that it doesn't use the Monosodium glutamate to its noodles.

Here comes two conclusions...whether less or high- lead is something which should not sync with the living beings, its on entering the body get accumulated and cause many system and organ failure and effects are irreversible- and is mostly harmful for children.

2- On authenticity of the FSSAI tests---Govt.'s ban and High court's acquittance, inculcate doubt in the mind of the consumers of the product.
In India-its found that the test were not conducted in the accredited laboratories.
If the FSSAI is unable to follow proper norms, than the consumers will left with little confusion that it (FSSAI) is properly regulating the manufacture and sale of other potentially harmful products in the Indian market, ones that are particularly prone to adulteration.

Little standardization of food testing procedure and laboratories -which are already very few in number, put a question mark on the results it throws up.

And the irony of all this is, people have to rely on the food regulators of UK and US in order to look for the ingredients in the permitted product, -given utter lack of proactive, reliable info from their own food regulator.

If India intend to ensure the stringent food norms, it will need to arm itself with more facts.
